Welcome to the Tiger and Tuskar trails

Bathe with the elephants and get close to the Tigers, the Tiger and Tuskar (elephants) trail is a must do trip.

Pick up from north and south Goa by coach and taken to Margao railway station starting at 10.00 am from hotels.Transfers by non-a/c coach or car, depending on the number of guests booked for the expedition.  Transfers take 45 to 70 minutes depending on the location of the hotels. Train journey 2.25pm (distance – 345 km, travel time 270 minutes) by local non-a/c train from Margao to Udupi railway station, packed lunch is served on the train.

 Arrive at Udupi station at 7.00 pm, board a coach or car outside the station and drive to the Karavali Hotels resort which is 15 minutes away. Allocation of rooms The hotel provides twin sharing non-a/c and a/c rooms with television, telephone, room service and swimming pool. Buffet dinner / a la carte menu at restaurant 8.30pm

Day 2

Wake-up call 5:30 am buffet breakfast will be laid out and served in the restaurant. Tiger and Tusker trails begins! Leave at 6.30 am by non a/c coach or car.Agumbe Ghat  (Distance – 61 km, travel time 80 minutes, visiting time – 15). Built by the British in 1839. Agumbe Ghat covers fourteen hairpin bends to reach the topmost point and have an Eagle’s eye view of the entire valley below.

Gajanur Wild and Rouge Elephant Training Centre. (Distance – 110 km, travel time 3 hours, visiting time – 45 minutes – 75 minutes). It takes roughly three hours to reach the elephant training school due to the narrow roads and speed limit.The elephants have to be sent to the forest for their daily feed and to be in the wild. We have to be there for 11.00am sharp or else we will miss them…to wash

Thavarekhoppa Wild Tiger & Lion Reserve (Rehabilitation centre) (distance 21 km). At the tiger safari pay for your video and still cameras at the main gate. Board the safari coach and drive to spot the spot the tigers, lions and other animals in their natural habitats.

Proceed for lunch (distance – 7km, lunch time - 1 hour) Pure veg Thali at Shimoga Jewel Rock. Visit nearby lake to feed fish by hands. Puffed rice is available at the site for sale. Back to the hotel relax at the hotel complex. Buffet dinner / ala carte menu at restaurant 8.30pm

Day 3

1. Breakfast buffet at restaurant 7.00 am
2. Depart to railway station 7.30 am, train departs at 8.10 am
3. Train journey to Margao.
4. Arrival at 1.00 pm. board car or coach outside the station
5. Dropped of at hotel.
